Compassion
Kindness and patience in every conversation, every shift, every moment that matters to a resident or their family.
Abbey Total Care Group began with a single, clear purpose: to create care homes where older people feel genuinely at home. Over 30 years, that purpose has guided every decision — from how we design our rooms to how we support families through the most difficult conversations.
We are proud to be family-run. That means accountability, continuity and a culture where every member of staff understands what is at stake. Our 11 homes each have their own identity and community, while sharing the same values and care standards.
From a single family-run care home in across London, Essex, Surrey to 11 CQC-regulated homes supporting 700+ residents across London, Essex and Surrey.
Abbey began with a single care home, The Ashbrook in Essex. Founded on one belief: every resident deserves to feel genuinely at home. A family vision, built to last.
Parkview, Woodlands and Bridge House opened in quick succession. Quality of care earned trust. The group's reputation for warm, personal care began to spread.
Forest Place (2001), Moreland (2003), Abbey Cheam (2005) and Parkside (2006) joined the group. Each home brought its own community identity, bound by shared Abbey values.
Ravenscroft Park, Abbey Care Complex and Bhakti Shyama opened within three years — reflecting growing demand for specialist residential, nursing and culturally-sensitive care across the region.
Uplands Care Home joined the group, completing an 11-home network across London, Essex and Surrey. CQC inspection rated Abbey Total Care Group Good across all five domains — confirming three decades of dedication.
